Judy K. Underwood, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist and life coach. Originally from New Jersey, she moved to Colorado in 1970 and earned her Ph.D. in Communication Disorders from the University of Denver. She served as a professor at the University of Northern Colorado for ten years.
In the early 1980s, she became certified as a master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and changed career paths. She has maintained a private practice as a psychotherapist since that time. In 1999, she became certified as a life coach from the Coaches Training Institute and holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation. She is currently a co-leader of an international, online coaching community — Death, Dying and Legacy.
She and her life partner of more than twenty-five years live in Fort Collins, Colorado. She also enjoys spending time with her adult daughter and her family.
Dying: Finding Comfort and Guidance in a Story of a Peaceful Passing is the author’s first book.
